Before you start:

Your current plan must still be active for the transfer to Public Mobile.

Number transfer cannot be done on an active Public Mobile line.
What you need:

Your account number from your current provider (check your latest bill).
Steps:

Receive your Public Mobile SIM card.

Go to publicmobile.ca to activate your line and get a temporary number (do not transfer your number yet).

Once activated, go to your profile and select Transfer Phone Number.

Keep your current provider's SIM in your phone. They will send a transfer authorization request by text.

Respond “YES” to the transfer authorization request before the deadline.

If you don’t get the request, contact your current provider.
Final step:

After confirming, insert your Public Mobile SIM card and wait for updates via text/email.

The number transfer may take up to two hours.
